Ladybird Beetle Nails....AKA Lady bug nails (plus give away Q&A)

Good Morning World!!! ;)

Today I'm sharing with you my lady bug nails! I had to throw in the proper Ladybird Beetle name.  My parents are retired teachers so my mom always corrects me when I say lady bug.  :oP

I know most have tried this and I can understand why.....it's so darn cute!

I'm pretty proud that I did this all free hand. NO TAPE!!!  I decided it was a good time to do these as my nails are all nubbies right now.  I broke one so had to file them all down :o(

I really liked the idea of mixing it up a bit and not doing all the nails a full lady bug.  What do you guys think?

QUESTIONS FOR YOU!!!

I'm thinking of doing a 200 follower giveaway once I get there.  I've seen people use the raffle thingy. Others make it more of a competition which I like.  Do any of you have suggestions???
I also often see that people doing the giveaway ask people to re-post there post of the give away on there own blog.  Is this a good idea?  I would like to have it open internationally.   Any feedback is great feedback. You can post your suggestions here or email me at nailnarcotics@gmail.com

Thanks again

  2. Yay, now tape free LOL - mega cute mani :)

I'm currently hosting a Rafflecopter giveaway as you know. My first big GA I made easy - and very fair, since the 10 most frequent visitors and the 20 most frequent commentators each got a number, and this way I made sure that the giveaway was won by one who actually reads my blog, rather than just joins for the giveaway LOL
You can see the gadgets on the sidebar of my blog...

    1. I really like the idea of the Rafflecopter but I also like the idea of the challenge. I already told my husband he could pick the challenge. lol As far as choosing the winner I may leave that up to my mom and sister-in-law. So many decisions!!!!! lol

  5. I love the pointer finger, it's so cute!!! I'm going to try and go simple for my giveaway - I don't want to make people follow me anywhere, if they wanted to they would, I think I'm just going to ask them to comment on a previous post and then enter the url in rafflecopter - seems the simplest - no?

  7. Rafflecopter is a good solution, it will make everything easier for you. I've used it once and I don't have anything to complain about :-) And yes, if you ask people to share your giveaway on their blog (or on their facebook and twitter accounts) it could increase the number of your followers and more people will find out about your blog :-)

But, it could happen, like Maria said, that many people become your followers only to be able to partecipate in your giveaway and maybe you'll never get any more comment from them, because they will not be a real followers, which is a little bit sad... I hope it won't happen to you, because your blog is interesting and who becomes your follower should enjoy following you and also leaving comments and following your work :-)

It would be interesting if you organize some kind of competition, I don't have any particular idea, maybe to ask people to become your followers and also to make a manicure of your choice and send it to you, and then the "jury" (you, your mother, your sister-in-law...) chooses the winner, who made the most funny or the most interesting manicure :-)

  8. Wow you did this all by free-hand? Bravo! I love it and it's so cute! I'm currently hosting my first giveaway and I'm using Rafflecopter. It hasn't ended yet, so I can't comment yet on my experience. Setting it up though was pretty painless! I like your idea of a competition. If I ever were to do another giveaway in the future I may have to borrow you idea ;)

  9. OMG, I was so focused on your giveaway that I forgot to write the comment about your manicure.. :-)
Lady bugs are adorable, they are so cute! Also I made two lady bug manicures and it is always a pleasure making them again and again... :-) I like that you made them "mixed" and different, it makes the manicure more interesting! Really good work! :-)
Greetings from your new follower! ;-)

  11. Very adorable, your nails today.

I am a teacher and a garden club member, and in our meetings, the master gardeners call them lady bugs.

Moms, you have to love them, right? Haha
